Umoja Update Part 3: DJ Jun

DJ Jun is the spiritual enigma of Umoja Hi-Fi. His work with the crew goes back to the mid-90s when he and DJ Tomas met up at Arons Records in Hollywood. DJ Jun was part of the legendary Goa Dub after-hours night at Nova Express cafe and held long-time residencies at drum 'n' bass weekly ScienceBossanova in Santa Monica and Bokaos restaurant in Beverly Hills. This versatile DJ can play almost any style, from broken beat and techno to disco, dubstep and classics.

These days DJ Jun is as busy as ever. He's a resident DJ Friday nights at Amoeba Music in Hollywood, does on-going events with Project Butterfly and at the summertime Hollywood Forever movie nights. Jun is the go-to man for interesting music recommendations and atmospheric sound installations. Follow him on Twitter: @junbug9
